The Shamrock Hotel Bendigo still stands in its magnificent glory 170 years on and is widely considered one of Australia's most haunted locations, with numerous tales of ghostly residents from its gold rush era history, and decades later.
The fourth floor of the Hotel has been largely untouched and closed to the public for over a century. It has remained in its original condition from the gold rush era, a key feature of the hotel's famous ghosts and their stories!
Our tours provide a rare glimpse into the past, as the fourth floor has not been refurbished or lived in for over 100 years.
One of the most famous ghosts of the 4th floor is young maid Jane O'Brien, who reportedly threw herself from the hotel's roof, claiming a demon girl made her jump from the fourth floor.
George, a man who is said to have overdosed on laudanum and died in the communal bathtub, still roams between his room and where his body was found.
Where there are toys there are children. A child's voice can at times be heard calling out to Their mum. Children's laughter, cries and running up and down the hallways and a man called Steve they are afraid of seems to still control them.
After the fourth floor was closed to the public, it is said that satanic worshipers used the fire escape staircase to perform black magic in the tower room.
In the years PAA have been investigating and running tours here, the communal bathroom seems to have a special purpose after communicating with George. Only one way to find out what that is!
Diamond Lil, the last famous owner, Mary the Madam and her girls, the reportedly famous 60's party girl and many more spirits still call Shamrock Hotel and the fourth floor home.
Spirits are still living on all floors of the hotel with reports from guests and staff experiencing various unexplained phenomena, including hearing disembodied voices, feeling an unseen presence on a bed, witnessing male figures disappearing through walls, A female of the early 1900's era looking at herself on the hall mirror and then disappearing and experiencing glasses clinking in response to questions.

Excellent Night
Had a great time - started with a very nice dinner and meeting the other people on our tour. Once we got upstairs, the tour was a lot of fun and the time went so quick. We explored the top floor and got to use some equipment which was new to most of us. A lot of fun and will be going again with friends. Top night!
